if i got a tattoo, what would happen to it when i get old?

Question by jeherohaku: if i got a tattoo, what would happen to it when i get old?
i want to get a large colorful fairy on my chest like my mom had (in her memory) and besides my age (15) there is only one thing stopping me: what happens when im like 60 or 70? does it fade or look bad, or look all weird because of wrinkles? i just dont want to regret it, even if it is after 40 or 50 years. also i read up on removal but i heard that it could scar or cause skin discoloration. how bad are the side effects of removal? thanks in advance!

It would go saggy and wrinkly and look horrible :/
