if i got a tattoo, what would happen to it when i get old?
Question by jeherohaku: if i got a tattoo, what would happen to it when i get old?
i want to get a large colorful fairy on my chest like my mom had (in her memory) and besides my age (15) there is only one thing stopping me: what happens when im like 60 or 70? does it fade or look bad, or look all weird because of wrinkles? i just dont want to regret it, even if it is after 40 or 50 years. also i read up on removal but i heard that it could scar or cause skin discoloration. how bad are the side effects of removal? thanks in advance!

it would look weird cuz of the wrinkles. it’ll be stretched out
All I really know is that today’s ink is much more stable, so it won’t look much like old peoples’ tattoos you may see today.
Most likely it’ll just fade in color and deform accordingly to your changing skin.
Well, the chest normally isn’t the first place to wrinkle. It stays somewhat tight.
Tattoo always lose color. And many many many people get them re-done to
“freshen” up the tattoo. Also, putting tanning lotion on it when it’ll be in the sun
will also help keep it new looking.
It will stretch as your skin stretches and will wrinkle as your skin wrinkles. The color will fade, but you can always get that touched up down the road.
when youre older people in the nursing rooms would just see the tatoos or scars. im getting them anyways i dont care what i look like when im older. it would probably fade a little bit as you get older, but you can just go back in where you got it and they’d probably just recolor it. DO NOT GET REMOVAL.. i havent gotten removal but ive heard it hurts like hell and that theyd regret getting it removed.
hope i helped
Use the temporary ones instead, as they do look pretty unattractive when the skin ages.
If you’re set on a Tattoo in memory, why not just get a discreet small butterfly, you’ll still know what it means to you and if its discreet enough you shouldn’t regret having it.
